Detroit Early Voting 2026: Where to Vote, Hours and the November 3 Ballot

Detroit early voting began October 24. Find the eight centers, the November 2 exception and your assigned November 3 polling place.

Detroit residents voting at a neighborhood polling place

Detroit residents can vote early at eight centers from October 24 through November 1, 2026, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. On November 2, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., early voting is available only at the Department of Elections and City Clerk’s Office. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

Open the full Detroit voting-location guide for all eight early-voting centers, directions, and a searchable list of the city’s 402 Election Day precinct assignments. A drop box is not automatically an in-person voting center, and your Election Day precinct may differ from your early-voting location.

Follow registration, participation and results separately

The Just Say OK election tracker displays official Michigan Voting Dashboard participation for Detroit, Wayne County and Michigan. Our server checks sources every 30 minutes during this election window. The state dashboard updates daily, so a half-hour check does not mean a new half-hour ballot count.

The tracker separates active registration, absentee requests, absentee returns and early in-person voting. It also carries a race watchlist covering statewide offices, Congress, Wayne County offices, legislative districts, courts, education boards and the Detroit school board. District-specific contests depend on your address; confirm your ballot before voting.

Before you leave

Confirm your registration and assigned polling place with the Michigan Voter Information Center. Eligible residents who still need to register must visit their city or township clerk in person with proof of residency during the October 20-November 3 registration window. If you are in line by 8 p.m. on Election Day, stay in line.

These dates and the November 2 exception are documented in the City of Detroit’s Fall 2026 election newsletter and current official center/drop-box flyer. For assistance, call Detroit Elections at 313-876-0190.

Participation records are not candidate vote totals. Election-night results remain unofficial until certified. A delay or numerical change alone is not proof of fraud; source documents and independent verification are required.
